I have a lot of experience with jQuery. The symptoms that you're
describing have less to do with the size of the jQuery library and more to
do with the way the code was written and the resources that the code is
attempting to access. If there is any kind of delay on the page, then it's
almost always a delay in accessing external resources that jQuery uses to
further process the page.
