Thanks Geri for the compliments on the place mats. The green floral was in my stash and I had always loved it just didn't know what I was going to use it for. I took it to the quilt shop and found the other fabrics that worked so well with it. I'd love to make her a rope trivet but not sure how good it with be with such light colors. Did you ever make them using clothesline and wrapping the fabric around it?? I've made them for a friend that has been very kind and she just loves them. The nice part is you can make them to match you dishes or anything for that matter. I have one I made to be used at Christmas time. I good way of using up fabric that is just sitting.
