[HatchedDesignForum] 7x12 machine?

I noticed some of the lovely new designs are 7x12. Just curious - what machine has a field this size? I haven't kept up with the latest new toys.

[HatchedDesignForum] Re: Pattern for Maryna's 3 Zipper bag

Hello Ladies,

The directions for making the 3 zipper bag is in the Creative Expressions, Issue 18, 2007. There are some slight differences, but the main thing is the instructions for the body of the bag. It will not be difficult to move the handles to the side or to add the little draw string pockets on the ends. I hope this helps,
Miriam

RE: [web-design] Re: Submission Of Form in Flash Website

There really is not much I can offer in the way of help without seeing the
flv file. If I was you I would ask for some usability testing to be done on
this site. To get to any of the content I have to set there and wait for a
bunch of I guess cool things to happen before I am able to even get to the
pages. The most irritating part is the information is not framed right and I
have to physically grab the slider to move up and down the page content.
That alone will make me leave the site but I guess if someone wants to
participate in this bad enough they will suffer the non-functional elements
to get where they want to go. Still I would put together a small team of
random testers to run through the site and give you feedback on what they
like and don't like. Armed with this info you can take that to the client
and convince them that a Flash site is not the way to go. I could be wrong
and in India this type of site may be better accepted than it is where I am
from.

The form looks complete and all you need to do now is to make sure your
variables are set right, the server side scripts are setup and your method
(POST or GET) is configured and it should work. As for the appearance I
again would have to see the working file in order to tell you what is going
on. A fairly good tutorial can be found in the link below to give you a
better idea of where you are with the form.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your response. Indeed, that was the requirement of my client.

Have a look at: http://kardikhanahai.com/flash/.
<http://kardikhanahai.com/flash/> We've used a modal dialog and found a
solution that. We are trying to get a better finish to the pop up.

The form is in the "participate Online" section. Your views are welcome.

RE: [web-design] Submission Of Form in Flash Website

LOL, you built a site in Flash and want a simple way to display a form in
it? Sorry, don't mean to laugh but there is nothing easy about setting up a
form to work in a full flash website. Every field has to have an input with
a variable and the easiest way to do it is to use the UI components panel,
set the values/variables and test. If there is an easy way I sure don't know

Hi all,

We've a website running currently for a product brand. There's a contest
form which is meant for certain age groups.

There's no issues with the form submission or validation of the age,
completeness of the form etc.

However, now we've made the Flash version of the website. We are finding it
difficult to use a similar form in Flash. We are thinking like having a
modal dialog, or having a HTML portion within the flash page etc.

We tried the HTML bit within the flash framework. But the problem arises
when view under different Monitors.

Can anyone suggest what would be the simplest way to create a form?

If you need more information, I'll be glad to share. Anyone, if you can
suggest a solution, it will greatly help.

Best regards,

Kabir

Re: [web-design] Need CSS help

Sorry folks.

This is what I'm going to try per Joni's suggestion :-)

I have found the best thing to do is render them this way, so if I do end up with something in the wrong place, it's easier to spot:

<div id="wrapper">
<div id="masthead">[contents]</div>
<div id="main">
<div id="content">
</div><!-- /content -->
<div id="sidebar">
</div><!-- /sidebar -->
</div><!-- /main -->
<div id="footer">
</div><!-- /footer -->
</div><!-- /wrapper -->
