I never thought of that but I really like your process. I was thinking
about it the other day and dreaded the suitcase being unpacked every night.
But the Pellon will work great. I have a HUGE roll of stabilizer that I can
just cut off strips from.

Subject: [HatchedDesignForum] Easy Packing
Well for those who would iike to know my packing method here it is.
I use light weight Pellon. I measure the length of the suitcase and add 6 or
7 inches to that number. I then multiply that number by 5 or 6 inches to
purchase enough Pellon. I cut the Pellon the size needed to lay across the
suitcase with at least 3 or 4 inches to extend on both sides. I place one
piece of Pellon across the bottom of the suitcase and then put the heavy
pants on top of the Pellon. I allow the pants legs to hang over the side and
lay one pair going in one direction and the next pair in the other
direction. ( I hope your still with me) I then put another piece of pellon
on top of the pants and use that as my shelf to put folded shirts or what
ever you want on top of the pants. Then continue with another piece of
pellon and like layering lasagna you use pellon and then your garments. (All
nicely folded) After all is packed I then fold over the pant legs that are
on the sides of the suitcase and this holds every thing in place. When you
arrive at your destination and open your suitcase and want to get to your
third layer of clothes throw back the pant legs and then take hold of the
first layer of pellon by the extended sides and lift up and place on bed or
whatever and then each layer until you get to the layer you want. Then you
can replace the layers and Wallah everything stays neatly folded. The only
thing is you hope your clothes have not shifted side to side. Make sure you
don't have a lot of space in the suitcase and that will help it to not
shift. I put my shoes in plastic bags and place around the clothes and that
helps hold everything in place. We traveled in Europe by tour bus and
stopped each night at a different hotel and this was my life saver. Hope I
made it clear enough if not let me know if I can clarify anything. Phyllis
