We took a mid July land/cruise trip. Weather was great. We flew into Fairbanks. (SW Florida to Minneapolis, & then direct flight from Minneapolis to Fairbanks.) Took a land tour sponsored by the cruise line & then got on the ship in Seward(?). Flew to USA via Vancouver at end of cruise. Reversing route of trip would have meant an overnight in an airport making connections because of time change etc. Something to consider.
