RE: [HatchedDesignForum] Jacobean Hummingbirds.

 

The body area is an appliqué. Santi said you could use mylar, organza.
I bought some rolls of netting 6" wide from ebay that is a kind of organza
you might say that is woven and metallic. The mylar I was afraid would not
stand up to many washing and I think this might Keep your fingers crossed.
When Santi did the stitching over the appliqué area it is not like most. She
actually does an open stitched design so the fabric will show through. A
great process.
