[HatchedDesignForum] Spammed message

 

I am so sorry -- I now am a victim of spammers and fear some of you may have been affected, too. I innocently clicked on that spurious link which came to me from a trusted friend. Alas! The damage was done in an instant! It probably would not have happened on my protected PC, but I have not yet safeguarded my new iPad.

As Moderators, we constanly try to protect the group from this type of activity. I was so dismayed to know I inflicted it upon the list. I hope the Members of this group knew to be wary of embedded links and avoided falling into the mire these hackers create.

Always be suspicious of emailed links, even from trusted contacts...

Apologies to anyone who may have been affected.
