RE: [web-design] images

 

Do NOT use the alt="" attribute in the image tag. IE has always gotten it
wrong by popping up a tooptip on mouseover. Use the alt="" attribute for its
original purpose: to help accessibility for those visually impaired or using
text browsers.

If you want the popup description, use title="" attribute. The title=""
attribute can be used pretty much on any element to give you the popup tool
tip. If you want more customizable tooltips, use the JavaScript ones.
