Re: [HatchedDesignForum] apricot blush quilt

Nancy,
I searched HA for the design you are doing, could not find it, so
will just give my humble answer..Hope Gail reads this and
contributes to some good answer, she is a great quilter.
But my answer is from LA experience. I feel too heavy a
quilted piece is like a board, I cannot really tell you
how far apart the quilting is, but your eyes will give you good
measurement. I think it is best to go and view quilts that
are like you want to quilt and then decide if the quilting looks like
you want and do that. I do think you are going to get answers that
are what a person does, but best to view the actual quilt
to feel the dimensional feeling you want. Your quilt will not fall apart, unless
you use the wrong thread or like my friend had happen to one she was quilting on
her long arm and the acid from leaky pipes ate it up..grin..no one wants that..right..
grin..so just do internet search and learn if what you see is what you want..I am
not a math person, I like to view what is there to disagree or not..Joann

I'm trying to put some quilting in the corners but that doesn't seem like enough. I looked on the batting and it says quilting every 3 inches. So what does everyone do for quilting? I haven't done much quilting so I'm assuming when it says 3 inches - it means 3 inches. I don't want my quilt to fall apart.
