Hi Carol. I don't have these designs, but they should work the same as applique designs. Look at the stitch colors. The first one is a single stitch oval. This is to show you where to place the applique/mylar. Sew this onto your stabilizer only. There should be either another single stitch or perhaps a narrow zigzag for the 2nd color. This sews down the applique/mylar. Your next step is to trim the excess from the outside of the oval. Now you can continue with the rest of the stitches. Again, these steps are general applique steps, but the procedure should be very similar for these particular designs.
