Ellen, I used felt and embroidered them with and without the outline and
hanging

The ones without a loop, I put another piece of felt underneath before
the last stitching, but skipped the satin stitch outline. Then cut
carefully around the ornament. I used sequins and little beads for the
decorations. I made many of them and used them as my Christmas card one
year.
Sorry, I have been out of the loop for the last week or so. Our son is
visiting, so I wanted to spend time with him. He will be going home
tomorrow. :-(
