I have just completed embroidering the designs for the fairyland quilt. Here's how I did the multiple hoopings:
At the end of the first hooping the registration marks are the last things to be stitched. Once this first hooping has been entirely stitched out, t ake your design out of the hoop, then rehoop with stabilizer ONLY, and start the second design, stitching out the registration marks only, which will be the first thing stitched. Take the hoop out of the machine and insert thumb tacks through the CENTER of the registration marks from the back, with the points coming up on the right side of the hoop, and spray your stabilizer with KK2000 or other adhesive spray. Put the hoop on a flat surface and carefully take your fabric with the first design stitched and match the center of each registration mark with the corresponding thumb tack point. Smooth out your fabric on the stablilizer and you're ready to stitch the second design. It's fast and easy once you do it a couple of times .
(If you can add a basting stitch around the entire design, this is a great help in stitching out your design. If you can't do this you can carefully pin the fabric around the e dges of the hoop being VERY careful to keep your pins out of the stitching area.)
