[HatchedDesignForum] Patchwork Teddies table topper

 

I just submitted my pictures for the contest. I made a table topper using the Patchwork Teddies which I did in red and green Christmas colors. I then added a border using the Colorwork Christmas Borders design 09, leaving off the ornament. I thought it was too plain so I added a 1" inner border of some holly fabric. I made this to fit one of my end tables. When my husband saw it, his comment was, "You're going to make a matching one for the other table, aren't you?" Well, of course. I didn't say which year though. :)

For my ornament I just did a simple stitchout of Teddy 02 (my favorite) on felt, cut out around it with pinking shears, and added a couple of red and green streamers.

Feels good to have two Christmas projects done. Really enjoy these contests as it pushes me to do something I've been wanting to do but never seem to find the time.
