I am 62, married to a man who is very tolerant of my machine embroidery
addiction (and my addictions to knitting, sewing, quilting, crochet, and
beading!).
Throw in China Painting and woodworking and we're TWINS! I'm really new
to the machine embroidery but have been sewing since I was a kid. I am
crazy about this embroidery stitching, watching the design come alive is
addicting. My latest 'problem' is software to allow me to combine more than one
design, say add text and???. My Topaz 30 doesn't do that limiting you to
one design at a time. Granted you can do several designs while the material
is in the hoop so not all that horrible. I wanted to combine two
flamingoes with one flipped to a design of a clothesline - the idea being the feet
are holding the clothesline. Now seriously without software this was hit
or miss if the foot would be in the correct place and/or the second bird was
in the exact opposite place as the first. I discovered and downloaded
Embird which accomplished it! Good to meet you, and yes I'm also 62!
