[Finding_Designs] New Member

 

Hi,
I am new to Finding Designs.
I am 62, married to a man who is very tolerant of my machine embroidery addiction (and my addictions to knitting, sewing, quilting, crochet, and beading!). We have two grown sons and 5 grandchildren.
I have a Janome sewing/embroidery machine, and I love to do machine embroidery. I just recently embroidered 8 bibs for a new baby in our church. I had so many cute designs to choose from, and couldn't make up my mind, so I put a design on each side of each bib to make them reversible. My next project is a baby quilt with the alphabet, and I am going to also begin a wall hanging for my kitchen with teapots and teacups, since I collect teapots. But I have other projects in mind also, so I will keep very busy in the coming months.
I also work full time as a receptionist in a dental office.
I collect Sunbonnet Sue designs, teacup and teapot designs, and children's designs.
I love to hear about what other machine embroidery enthusiasts are doing, and I am constantly amazed at the creativity I see on the different embroidery websites I visit! I am not so creative, but more of a copy cat. That's why groups like this one are so wonderful. I can get some ideas for future projects that I wouldn't have thought of by myself.
