I have new Dog Silhouettes. These small dog designs are perfect for a
T-shirt, polo, bandana or child's shirt. Add the dog's name or the breed
name to personalize. They are sized so that many will work on caps too.

Check out our wonderful supplies. I also have a Blog with great tips. I
will be posting new tips this week -be sure to check back.
Tip- What purpose does stabilizer serve? Stabilizer is used for
embroidery to give the fabric support and to prevent the fabric from moving
or shifting as the design stitches. Without stabilizer you may encounter
registration issues and puckering. A good design will begin with underlay
stitches that are designed to meld the stabilizer and fabric together before
the top stitches are sewn. A Tear Away will work on stable fabrics such as
towels, canvas, quilt fabric and non stretchy denim unless there are large
fill areas. Designs that are made up of fills do best with a cut away
stabilizer. Knits are stretchy meaning they are not very stable and a
cutaway stabilizer will work best on this type of fabric. If a design is
open and airy with the shirt showing through you may be able to use a Wash
Away fibrous type stabilizer on a t-shirt. This is nice when you don't want
the stabilizer to show on the back side. The mesh type stabilizer will be a
nice choice for knit if the design is not too dense. Use 2 layers of mesh
if you have a design that is more than 12,000 stitches.
The mesh will drape nicely and because it is sheer it will not show through
as much as a regular cutaway. I use the mesh to back quilt squares too. I
leave it the size of the block and piece with it in place. It is light and
does not affect the quilting.
