Hello girls.
Even though the quilt shop fabric and the Wal Mart fabric "looks" the same, it may not be the same. Compare the information on the bolt end, fabric selvage, and "hand" of the fabric. Fabric prints done overseas can be printed on lesser quality goods, if not from the same mill as the quilt shop fabric. I'm not doubting your word that it was the same fabric. I just want everyone to be aware that the lesser quality ("knock-off") print quilt fabric does exist.
Where I live, Wal Mart frequently purchased lesser quality goods from a fabric warehouse/wholesaler and the bolt ends actually said "unknown content".
Regards and "stay cool" -- where here in Texas it's 100 degree highs,
Cheryl S.
