[HatchedDesignForum] Kimberly's windsock

 

To anyone who has made the windsocks here is my question. On the instructions it says when serging down the sides of the streamers to turn the cutter blade off on your serger. Is there a reason for this? I turned my blade off but then my sides sort of roll when serging them rather than staying flat. I do have a rolled edge on my serger would that be better to do or just leave the blade on and serge the sides flat?
