I did a layout in my embroidery software, then did a rough sketch of the basic lines on batting. I backed this batting with an inexpensive muslin fabric. The fabrics were cut roughly along the sketch lines and pinned in place. Then I secured the fabric edges using a monofilament (invisible) thread and a narrow zigzag. The next step was to quilt. I freemotion quilted the entire quilt, then used decorative stitches over the fabric raw edges. The embroidery was next. These are such fun designs!!! I created a label in embroidery software, and embroidered onto the backing fabric. Last was the binding. Done! In the nick of time!!!
