you sound like you are from the south!! Glad you could help this woman. having lived away from home when I first married, I remember some very nice people who made my holidays so much better.
coming from a small town I was so used to knowing everyone = to a large army town is a real shock!! My husband and I talk about our first christmas together as we reached out to a woman with 3 small irls. That helped make our christmas for sure. over the years we have always tried to help someone somehow. well this year my husband got involved with toys for tots( even though he was army) saturday we had the toy giveaway/ which was awesome. I had one mother who I called as she had not shown up, she was at the ER with the baby. Got the toys together and brought them to her there.
Even if it is 1 person or many it is so much fun and rewarding to help others in need.
Just remember and reach out at other times too!!!
You never know what impact you will have on that persons life!!!
