[HatchedDesignForum] Re: Mini Screen Tote Bag-Whimsical Roses Monograms

Hi Sandra. I used two fabrics and screening...the yellow fabric the black/white dot fabric and the screening. The screen is called Pet-D-Fence purchased at Walmart, in the hardware department. The pattern designer recommended this type of screen and it is very nice to work with.
I think these would be a nice size for your granddaughter's since it is a small sized tote. Check out the tote pattern at HIA too...there are two sizes...one is for baby dolls...soooo cute. I'm going to make one next.
One thing I changed is the tabs that cover the handles. Mine are embroidered free standing applique instead of the fabric pieces in the pattern. I wanted mine to have nice curves because I thought they would compliment the curves on the bottom of the tote. I also covered the zipper seams on the inside of the bag. I made my handles a bit longer as well...Kimberley in PA
