Santi, I have the Pfaff yarn couching kit. It contains a foot with a hole in it for the yarn...there are 2 of them for different sizes of yarn...and a little metal piece to hold the yarn out from the machine and feed it.
Hopefully if you do not have both the correct foot and the metal feeder piece you are making do with something that does the same thing. Otherwise I do not think you will like the end result.
Just make sure your needle goes into the hole of the foot. It is a center needle hole so that should not be a problem .
Most machines are centered needle.

OK linda I have a Pfaff foot and a shank..do you somehow alter the
needleposition? Or do you just stick the foot and shank and go!
