HI,
I am getting ready to make some pillows for a friend and need some help. I have sewn all of the Geisha's prior to this project but have used heavier fabric to embroider the designs. The only fabric I can find that suits the color choices for the pillows is not as thick even though it is drapery material. How can I stabilize it so the designs do not pucker? I usually use a medium weight tear-away hooped then stick the fabric square with 505 to the stabilizer. I thought about bonding 2 fabric pieces together with stitch witchery or using spray starch to stiffen the fabric.
Any ideas from you ladies. I have not even had my machine turned on for embroidery since last July as I have taken on too much in my "retirement". As my daughter tells me, your choice Mom but I do miss my creative outlet.
Thanks for your help!
