Hi Shirley,
I'm alive and kicking! I've had a very busy year in 2011! I've driven
cross country twice this year and spent some time with my son and his family.
I have a new love in my life and his job takes him from place to place
and sometimes I join him for a couple of weeks at a time depending on where
he is. Most of this year he's been close enough to spend 2 weeks with him
and then 2 weeks here at home. Last month my daughter in law, Amanda,
brought my granddaughter, Audrey out for Thanksgiving. We spent a lot of time
and energy getting a "guest room" ready from an "I don't know what to do
with it" room! But we solved that problem, kind of. Now my sewing room is
the "I don't know what to do with it" room! So I just closed the door on the
room for Christmas! Not long after Amanda and Audrey went home, well
actually within days that they left I came down with the cold from hell and I'm
still battling with it 3 and a half weeks later. I guess I was just
exhausted and it all caught up to me finally!
I've been keeping an eye on the list and what all has been going on. It's
been a very busy year for a lot of our ladies and many have survived great
losses. My heart has gone out to you and my prayers have been with you.
I've seen many of our ladies abilities grow in our little events and even
more ladies joining in with us for the fun and prizes that come from Santi's
heart!
The last time I heard from Santi she and Peter were having their own
battles with the flu. I guess no one is immune to it! That was about the time
I came down with it myself so let's just say that I haven't been on line as
much as usual but I'm still around if you need me :)
I hope your Christmas was filled with joy and laughter my friends. I know
many of your spent your Christmas alone, I know my own step daughter did
and it made me very sad to think of her alone on this very special day. For
those of us with the Internet though, we are never truly alone. We have
our friends and neighbors on the lists and on places like Facebook to keep
us company.
Speaking of company, my honey is here for a week during the holidays and
I'm sitting here at the computer ignoring him, but he knows how important you
all are to me, so he let's me play :)
I hope that your New Year brings more laughter and joy, more to celebrate
than to mourn but always remember, we are here for you :)
Merry Christmas to all!
Pat

I have not seen any emails from "Sew Amused" and miss her humor. Just
wondered what happened?
I hope everyone enjoys their Christmas and look forward to seeing all the
great projects next year.
