I was at a seminar on fabrics..a lot of the companies run three or four
different thread counts of the same print of fabrics. The high thread count
goes to the quilt stores. JoAnns would get a lower thread count and Walmart
even lower. So while they make appear to be the same fabrics, they are very
different.

I'm sorry to disagree. Joann's fabric are a better quality than Walmart
but I still feel that the quality of your local quilt shop is far better
than either store. If I am taking so much time to work on a quilt, I feel I
want the best. I do look for sales & buy from several different quilt shops
so I can keep the cost down.
