In Mobile,Al they are taking out all the sewing sections as they remodel the stores - we are down to only 2 stores now and they are super Walmarts - really hate to lose it - I never had any problem with their materials and supplies Pam

Ours is a super but they are just beginning to set up the department. There
are bolts coming in so that means we'll be able to get cut what we want
rather than precut packs, which is good.

I haven't checked out the quality yet. I agree that Joann's has usually been
a lesser quality than quilt shops but they have sales & different types of
fabrics. I get my batting by the big roll from them with a 40 or 50% coupon
& it makes it quite handy for whatever size I need. Now with those strips
you iron the small pieces together to make bigger pieces there's not a lot
of waste.

Kathleen, is the Wal Mart a super store or one of the regulars. We have both
in my area. You know that JoAnn's is starting to carry better fabrics. I
bought some the other day and is was the same quality the I have found in
the fabric stores. I was very shocked. Ruth in VA
