Hi Marque,
I am one of the moderators for the challenges sponsored by Santi and the Hatched
In Africa team. The challenges have been held on the HIASpecialEvents yahoogroup
in the past. This is the first time we are actually showing the challenge
entries on the Hatched Design Forum yahoogroup.
The moderators huddle together and decide what the challenge will be, when it
starts, and how long it will run. The current challenge ends June 30th and is
open to anyone who is a member of the Hatched Design Forum yahoogroup. Entrants
are grouped into three different groups - Novice is a member who has not entered
HIA challenges before 2011; members who have entered previously are Veterans;
and All Star entrants have previously won either first or second place in last
year's challenges.
The entire rules are located in the Files section at the Hatched Design
Forum yahoogroup. Each entrant is awarded a $15 Gift Certificate for designs
from Hatched in Africa, Allsorts or HatchedEmbFun. Random bonus awards are also
given to entrants as the challenge progresses. We expect the next challenge to
begin in the summer.
We hope you (and everyone else) will check out the rules and decide to enter.
There is still almost 7 weeks left in the current challenge. The more entrants
the more bonus awards. Good luck to everyone.

I have been reading about the past challenges and looking at the pictures. Who
starts these challenges and how often is one started? Can anyone join in on the
challenge? When will the next one be starting?
