[Finding_Designs] AD:Spring Quilt and New Quilt as You Go, New Designs and Gifts

Lots of goodies for you today.

I have moved the Spring Quilt Blocks to their own page as there were going to be just too many for the page they were on. These are so pretty and make you feel like spring. The quilt designs come in 5x5, 6x6, 7x7 and 8x8 and you get them all. The designs come in 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7 and 8x8, so you could design your own quilt block if you want or make coasters etc. out of them. For anyone who orders the full set they will also get a set of redwork designs when I get them done. Right now I have all 12 blocks done and will be posting all pictures later today. I will be leaving at reduced price until the end of this week so that people on fixed income like me can get them too. You can see all the completed blocks on the web site and on the Home page of the yahoo group later today. One thing more. This quite a large set, so if you would like the designs on a CD, I would be more than happy to do that for no extra charge, just let me know with a note in the Note to Seller box, or click on the paypal box that says full set shipped.

2. A favorite of mine---Quilt As You Go Quilt Blocks and Filler Blocks with a Windmill Design you get 4x4, 5x7 and 6x10 + filler block designs, picture and written instructions. Needless to say this is quite a large set, it will be on CD only shipped. These are so great, when you get done your quilt is finished front and back and bound. how great is that, especially for those of us who really don't know too much about quilting.

TIP: I'm still working on the duckies for the curtains, and noticed that some of the colors I wanted to use were on different type of spools.
The small cone shapes stitched better standing upright on top of the machine, and the spools that look like regular sewing threads stitched
better on the horizontal pin. So if you are having thread problems, take a look at how your thread is standing.

These are all beautiful and versatile FSL motifs for T-shirt necklines, side seams and sleeves.

ROMANTIC TATTED HEART & EARRINGS

I am so excited about the new designs! I made a very delicate and lacy heart. It is completely free-standing tatting. I used a new technique for these. It is sort of like Celtic knots. Some of the chains cross over the others. I really like how they turned out. And you will like how EASY they are to stitch! I include a heart shape so you can make a cutout on your card like I did. Of course, you don't have to do the cutout if you don't want to. I made one card that I only attached the heart to the front - very EASY. I also made 3 free-standing earrings! They are 3 different sizes/styles. All fit in a 4x4 inch (100x100 mm) hoop - so everyone can do these. As always, on special introductory SALE pricing for a while. All designs are sent as email attachments.

REMINDERS

TATTED COLLARS AND CONTINUOUS FREE-STANDING TATTING EDGES

I had SEW many requests for the tatted collars. They were all different so I decided to go with this one first. The tatting edges are free-standing and I have them done 2 ways. The collar has a finished edge to the fabric - except where you will stitch it into your garment. I provide templates for you to cut out your fabric too. The second collar is completely free-standing and has a header row built in. You stitch that one into your collar fabric. Both of those are done with 2 hoopings. I have them available for the 8x8 inch (200x200 mm) hoops and the 6x10 inch (150x240 or 160x260 mm) hoops or larger.

PLUS I have the tatting pattern done as a continuous free-standing tatting edges. These are SEW easy to do! You can make them to stitch into a collar of your choosing or any other project. Those are available for all hoop sizes. As always, they are on introductory SALE pricing for a while. All designs are sent as email attachments.

BOOKMARKS AND 8-INCH TATTING ROUNDS

I had requests to make the Tatting rounds for the 8-inch hoops. As you probably know, I like to make the designs that you request. So here they are! I have another beautiful cross stitch center for this one. I also made bookmarks for the 5x7 inch hoops. Actually, these fit the 4x7 inch hoops (100x170 and 100x180 mm). I used the "plain" bookmark to make a gift for the neighbor girl, Destiny, who came and took care of the plants while we were gone. She seemed quite pleased. Since he really loves to read, this was something she can really use. You can add your own customization to these. All of the designs have instructions on how to make them. As always, they are on introductory SALE pricing for a while. All designs are sent as email attachments.

TATTING ROUNDS

These are all done in the hoop. I call them rounds but you probably will call them doilies. They are available in 3 sizes - for the 4 inch, 5x7 inch (130x180 mm) and 6x10 inch (150x240 or 160x260 mm) hoops. They coordinate with the Tatting 87 designs. I have them done with a finished edge and without. It is sort of like applique. I cover all the details in the instructions. For those who really like to be shown how to do the procedures, I have a video for sale on my site that will show you how to work with my designs. One of the rounds has a beautiful cross stitch center. This is for the 6x10 inch (150x240 or 160x260 mm) hoops. Plus they include wing needle entredeux stitching in the center! You don't have to use a wing needle if you can't or don't want to. Some of these can be stitched onto Mulberry paper too. I have the link to the place I get mine right on the page on my site.

The new designs are so sweet and delicate! You can stitch them to be as long as you want since they are continuous. You can easily stitch them directly onto your fabric or you can stitch them to add inside a seam - I have them done both ways available for all hoop sizes. They will work great for children's items, doll clothes or anywhere you want a small tatting edge. PLUS I have a tatted hanky! This is for the 8x8 inch hoops. The hanky is done completely in the hoop. It includes a lovely cross stitch for the corner. You can add your own initial (not included) as I did on mine. All designs have included instructions so you can stitch them out just like I did. They look like they should be hard to do but they aren't. On SALE for a short time. It was just what I wanted for my purse even tho it was very unstable. I bonded a white cotton fabric to the back using Steam-A-Seam 2. [HatchedDesignForum] Reminder: 3 Zipper Bag Bonus Event was extended

The Bonus Event Challenge for the 3 Zipper Bag is still going on and our
Members are doing us proud once again. Check the Album to see photos
of their wonderful projects. The original contest period was scheduled
to end on January 27th as stated in the Info and Rules documents in the
Files section. All entries received by that date have earned an
additional $5 to add to their usual $15 Entry Award.

PLEASE NOTE: This event was extended UNTIL March 23rd. Kimberley
graciously provided some additional "how-to" instructions with photos a
couple of weeks ago. With that extra information in the Files and an
extension of the deadline we hope everyone still wanting to submit an
entry has ample time to complete their own creation Read the Info and
Rules and remember the NEW END DATE is March 23rd. Check with Sherry
Jungwirth (recent post gave contact info) about availability of the
pattern if you don't already it.

Thank you for the opportunity to take part in this challenge and for the
generous gift for entering. I used something like kettle cloth for my bag
with the Chrysanthenums from All Sorts. I used two designs on the front
reversing each one and then took only one flower for each pocket on the
ends. I have a butterfly on each zipper as a pull and I also used the cord
pull things [it is late and I can't remember what they are called...lol] on
the end pockets to gather them up. I left the back of the bag plain without
designs.

Jean, your purse is so elegant! I must confess. When I first looked at your pics I thought "I wonder why Jean's pics are in black & white." Then it occured to me that the pics were not black & white; it was just that the purse was silver.

Hi Judi,
Thank you. The silver outer fabric is a very supple, stretchy and fluid poly from Joann's. I think they sold it for Halloween costumes. It was just what I wanted for my purse even tho it was very unstable. I bonded a white cotton fabric to the back using Steam-A-Seam 2. This made it more like vinyl and very hard to sew through all the seams where the handle tabs were attached.

[HatchedDesignForum] Three Zipper Bag

I have just uploaded some pictures of my Three Zipper Bag and as usual I really loved doing this project. I decided to use the Paisley Flair designs as I found some really beautiful lining fabric with paisley designs. I used the basic pattern with a few alterations. I added lined sidepockets and used some of the lining fabric to decorate them. I also added several pockets to my lining as well as a key holder. I also wanted my zipper to be sunk and added an extra piece for that. This time I used Mylar as that is called for in the Paisley designs and I added some tassels with beads to my zipperpulls.

Thank you so much for letting us all take part in this project, Santi and Team Hatched/Allsorts. You are all wonderful and inspire us to create without even thinking about it.
